Starry Night.

When I first showed this card to my husband he said "It's Snowing!".  lol  I didn't realize how many white dots I put and I didn't realize how big I had made them.  They were intended to be stars.  I guess you can can see it either way, but for the idea behind the card, let's just say they are stars.

I picture this little boy staying up late, because he's too excited to go to sleep, because the next day is his birthday and he's having a bunch of friends over for an awesome pool party.  He went to his backyard and started to daydream about how yummy the cake would be and all the gifts he would get.  I see him swinging in the cool of the night, with his warm PJs on and thinking about his favorite watermelon fruit and how much fun it's going to be going down the new slide his dad installed in the pool.  Can you blame him for being out in his backyard excitedly watching his mom set the tables and chairs for the event to come?  I would do the same if I were 6 years old going on 7 and having a rockin' party!  lol

I was challenged by Noelle, owner of Quick Creations, to create a card using both the Summer Swing stamp and PJ Trevor stamps by CC Designs.  You can imagine my worry, fear and horror thinking about how I would achieve this idea being that he has PJs.  So I began brainstorming and came up with a night scene, which I had never done.  Which caused greater anxiety and mental anguish.  lol.  I decided to match the colors to the Lawn Fawn pattern paper and take it from there.  I included clouds and "stars" too.  lol.  I think it came out okay; it being my first time.  I hope to improve on this type of coloring and one day share my copic combo.
